I love a great font and I love how they've used it on a door. This is at the City Hall, Stockholm. The inscription simply says "Byggnadsnämnd Stockholm" which means "Stockholm Local Building Community". I love that they've made something so drab look so beautiful.

On ice
We took a walk this morning around Kungsholmen to take advantage of the beautiful weather we've been enjoying lately. The lake Mälaren was frozen and Riddarholmen (The Knight's Islet) looked as if it was just floating on ice. I've never seen anything like it.

Santa Sofia
Gazing up to the crucifix on top of the beautiful Santa Sofia, the largest church in Anacapri. You gotta love that contrast between the sky and the soft yellow facade.

Autumn glory
From my second roll of film. I had it sitting at home for over a month becauseI didn't have the time to send it for development.
Finally, it's done. And I love it :)

Dubrovnik
The view over the rooftops of the Old Town with the Church of St Blaise, the protector saint of the city, in the foreground.
Stradun
ust got back from a fantastic holiday with family in Croatia - more photos soon.
For now, just a little taste of Dubrovnik. This is a photo of Stradun (or Placa as the locals call it), the main thoroughfare in the Old Town. For us every evening started with a stroll down this beautiful street.

A pair
My red slip ons - one of my favourite pairs. Don't think I will get to wear them much more though - Stockholm's getting colder. Brrrrr....

My husband's boss invited us over for a dinner last night. The whole dinner was delicious and I couldn't help but to take a shot of the desert - how beautiful is that? And it tasted even better!

Sagrada Familia
I was always in awe of Gaudi's works, but this was the first time I had seen it for real - the scale is unimaginable. The whole structure - just amazing...

Capri
I have been away from the blog for a while, but I should be back more frequently from now on...
Here's an image from last year's trip to Capri.
Enjoy!

Metropolitain
o that's where the word Metro comes from...
This art nouveau sign is what i alway associated with Paris - so the first chance I got, I took a shot of it. I know it's been photographed to death, but I just love it.

The colours of Skansen
Yesterday, J and I went to Skansen - something like an open-air museum on Djurgarden island, Stockholm. They have assembled over 100 farm buildings and houses from all over Sweden, showing how people lived once here.

Just married
My first big wedding shoot - had heaps of fun.
It was a very difficult venue to shoot with high ceilings and dim lights - lots of work but I think it turned out alright.

Unusual
Eerie sky yesterday after the storm (the shot is a bit noisy though because I left the camera on ISO400).

Tea time
A heavenly melt-in-your-mouth experience - some Greek biscuits (kourabiedes and coconut and almond macaroons) from the Athens Continental Cake Shop in Maroubra.

Hibiscus buds
I went for a walk and found these hibiscus buds scattered all over the road - the rain or wind must have brought them down prematurely. They would have to be one of the most unusual and pretties flowers I've photographed so far.

Cheat's pizza
Lebanese bread topped with tomato sauce, prosciutto, bocconcini, pine nuts and baby spinach.
And in case you are wondering - it was delish :)
